Directions
Prepare the Filling:
- In a frying pan, add ginger garlic paste, black pepper powder, Himalayan pink salt, paprika powder, lemon juice, and cooking oil. Mix well.
- Add the chicken fillets, coat them in the spice mix, and cook on low heat until thoroughly cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Let the chicken cool, then roughly chop it.
- Chop the onion rings and capsicum, then mix them with the chicken and chop everything together.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped chicken and vegetables with corn kernels, Schezwan sauce, mayonnaise, dried oregano, black pepper, pink salt, red chili flakes, and fresh coriander. Mix well.
- Add the grated mozzarella and cheddar cheese and combine. Set the filling aside.
Assembling the Sandwich:
- Take two large bread slices and apply butter to one side of each.
- Spread the prepared filling on one slice, then top it with the other slice of bread (butter side up).
- Heat a frying pan over low heat and place the sandwich in the pan, butter side down. Apply butter to the top side and cover the pan.
- Grill or cook on low heat until both sides are golden and crispy, with the cheese melted inside. Repeat with the remaining bread and filling to make 4 sandwiches.
Tips for Perfect Schezwan Chilli Cheese Sandwiches
- Low Heat for Perfect Crisp: Cooking on low heat ensures the bread turns golden and crispy while the cheese melts perfectly.
- Schezwan Sauce Level: Adjust the amount of Schezwan sauce based on your spice preference.
- Cheese Mixture: A mix of mozzarella and cheddar creates a perfect melty and flavorful filling.
These sandwiches are best served hot and crispy—perfect for a flavorful snack that packs a spicy punch!
