Pistachio Cream

  • Pistachios (boiled) – 60g
  • White Chocolate (chopped) – 50g
  • Caster Sugar – 2 tablespoons
  • Hot Water – 4-5 tablespoons
  • Green Food Color – a few drops

Kunafa Stuffing

  • Kataifi Dough – 100g
  • Unsalted Butter – 30g

  • White Chocolate (melted)
  • Semi-Sweetened Dark Chocolate (melted)

Step-by-Step Directions for Kunafa Chocolate Recipe

1. Prepare the Pistachio Cream

  • In a blender, add boiled pistachios, chopped white chocolate, caster sugar, hot water, and a few drops of green food color.
  • Blend everything together until it forms a thick and smooth paste. Your pistachio cream is ready!

2. Prepare the Kunafa Stuffing

  • Cut the kataifi dough into small pieces and set it aside.
  • In a frying pan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
  • Add the cut kataifi dough to the pan, stir well, and cook until it turns light golden (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and add the prepared pistachio cream to the cooked dough. Mix well until thoroughly combined. Let the stuffing cool.

3. Assembling the Kunafa Chocolate

  • Take two identical silicone chocolate molds for this step.
  • Drizzle melted white chocolate in one of the molds to create a marble design. Let it set for a few minutes.
  • Spread melted dark chocolate evenly in both molds, ensuring the excess chocolate is removed. Freeze the molds for 15 minutes to set.
  • Once the chocolate is set, spread the prepared kunafa stuffing evenly in one mold.
  • Add melted dark chocolate around the sides of the mold to create a seal, and place the second chocolate mold on top, gently pressing them together to stick.
  • Freeze again for 15 minutes to set completely.
